ḤADĪTH OF THE DAY

“ Mu'āth Ibn-Jabal related that during the Battle of Tabūk, whenever the Prophet, peace and blessings of God be upon him, set out before the sun had passed its zenith, he would delay the noon prayer (1) until the time of the afternoon prayer (2) to pray them together. And whenever he set out after the sun had passed its zenith, he would pray the afternoon prayer in advance with the noon prayer, then travel. Whenever he set out before sunset, he would delay the sunset prayer (3) to perform it with the evening prayer (4). And whenever he set out after sunset, he would pray the evening prayer in advance with the sunset prayer. Footnotes: (1): second prescribed prayer of the day. (2): third prescribed prayer of the day. (3): fourth prescribed prayer of the day. (4): fifth and last prescribed prayer of the day. ”

The Messenger of God, peace and blessings of God be upon him, said, "No wealth is decreased by [spending in] charity, and no person pardons [another] but is increased in honor by God, and no one humbles himself before God but is elevated [in status] by God." Click on ḥadīth to read more
